Samir is our fourth Afghan delegate to write for the blog. MUN opens minds and ambitions, and this has certainly been true for this new delegate.
Everyone says that MUN is an organization which is trying to increase the skills of youth in any field of life, that it could be anything like: MUN is trying to improve the skills of youth at an international level and by their indefatigable endeavors trying to represent youth as an international delegate with new skills.
But for me the Model United Nation shows different faces in my life, something unique, I mean that I have never seen those before even in my dream. At the first when I searched about the MUN, it shows that MUN is an educational simulation and academic competition in which students learn about diplomacy, international relations, and the United Nations. MUN involves and teaches research, public speaking, debating, and writing skills, in addition to critical thinking, teamwork, and leadership abilities. And for me it was very interesting and something new, because I have never done the above mentioned things be.
Secondly, MUN made me very persistent to find, collect and update myself with the more information about those countries that I have never heard the name of. And it was very hard for me to do those things. I was kind of confused that how should I solve those problems? But fortunately I did it with my full energy and my group chat fellows in Facebook, who helped me a lot with my research, resolution, opening speech and other things. And I am very grateful from each of them.
Finally I achieved and learned from the Model United Nation organization how to decide well for the future, how to be a good leader for your people, and it became for me a big hope to rise my voice against any violence on youth or others and show my ability in any field of life without any fear or worry.
