ASD MUN 2016

Noor Semaan is a valuable part of the ASDMUN press team

The ASDMUN team would like to invite you to the first MUN conference hosted by the American School of Dubai. ASDMUN will be held from March 2nd- March 6th at the Holiday Inn Hotel and the school campus in Al Barsha, Dubai. There will be six forums available for delegates to take part in: the General Assembly, Human Rights Council, Environment Commission, Economic and Social Council, Security Council, and Arab Council. The theme of this conference is “Finding a Home,” so delegates will be able to discuss issues ranging from animal shelters to refugees of the environment to displaced persons of war. Outside three fruitful days of debate, there will be social events for delegates to meet and interact with one another. On March 2nd, there will be a traditional evening in the desert that includes dune bashing, belly dancing, and eating traditional Arabic cuisine for dinner. On March 3rd and 4th, the evenings are left free for delegates to choose whatever they would like to do with their school group. Since the hotel is right next to a Metro stop, they can spend the evening anywhere they please. On March 5th, delegates will enjoy a closing dinner on a boat that will take them around the Marina to experience Dubai from another perspective. We hope these touristic opportunities, along with meaningful discussion and debate, will provide the delegates a memorable experience. If you would like to learn more about the conference please check the ASDMUN website: www.asdmun.com. If you are interested to take part in this conference, or have any questions please contact the ASDMUN team through their email: asdmun@asdmun.com.
